i have a 1996 civic dx coupe, stick ,and i also have a zc in my 90 automatic dx. its a zc dohc, and its my winter beater. I like the idea of swapping the zc into the 1996. how much will this run me. ANd is it possible ,and can i use my factory dx 1996 tranny. And will my 1996 motor(dx) work in my 1990 civic autmatic dx.
i just need a price of swapping the zc into the 1996,

rev it out and enjoy it...but change your oil more and use the good stuff...liek motul...not the Bs stuff liek mobile 1, I swear by the stuff cause I've used it and it kept my race motors running (2 stroke)

dude...once again if you have a 96dx first of all it won't be legal to swap in the older motor...second of all it would make a lot more sense to just get a 96-00 SI engine. You already have a tranny you can use...what's the point of going backwards and to cable tranny. you can get a d16y8 for $800 tops with a lot less mileage then a dohc zc.

invader_hb; we've been over this... bottom line is we are able to interpret his posts, and his information is usually spot on and very helpful. there is no need to correct his spelling.

dingus8, you don't have to explain yourself.

I've deleted both your useless posts.
