1988 Honda CRX SI Manual Transmission 2000 OBO

Ive got a 1988 Honda CRX for sale. 236XXX kilometers. NO RUST. This car is in 99% perfect shape.

The good:

NEW engine, last year, from a 99 japanese civic. 1.6 SOHC, non-vtec, along with a brand new clutch (Clutch feels like a hydraulic clutch almost, its so smooth and easy to press). Cost 1500, got it done at a shop so no hackjob here.
Runs perfect. Id daily drive this thing if i had to, no worries. Idles great, starts great, drives great. Brakes are in good shape, tires will pass safety no problem.
This car is STOCK. Every single stock part is on this car (aside from the engine) is exactly as it rolled off the showroom floor.
This car gets 50 miles to the gallon on the highway. It only costs about 25-30 bucks to fill up from empty, and you can go 600km on a tank, easy. I drove this car from oshawa to downtown for a bit (for work), and id fill up once a week.
As i said, NO RUST. This thing has no rust at all on the body, aside from a tiny spot (smaller than a dime) on the sunroof. Hey, its a crx, the sunroofs rust just by looking at them.
This car will safety and etest no problem. You drive it into a garage, you'll be out in 20 minutes with your safety and etest.

The bad:

The car needs paint. Period, theres no other way to say it. Someone rattlecanned it black, and it didnt look so bad (It was a pretty good job for a rattlecan), but now its starting to peel. Ive never had the time or money to get it properly repainted.
The drivers side mirror was replaced with one of those "cut your own" kits from canadian tire, and it didnt work so well. The mirror glass will need to be replaced (20 bucks at speedy)
The shifter is a bit loose, the bushings have worn out. It shifts perfectly fine, no problem finding gears or anything like that, it just doesnt feel as tight as it should. 30 bucks for the bushings and 1/2 hour labor to replace them.

Honestly this car is great as a starter car for someone just learning to drive (or someone who wants to learn to drive stick), or as a commuter car, or for someone looking to have a nice summer ride. With paint, this car will look amazing. Without paint, its still pretty cool, and hey, if youre buying it for your kid, you wont have to worry if they get dinged in a parking lot or something.
