hytech style header = rage headers?

i'm sure it will yield some gain somewhere in the powerband but definitely nowhere near best on a stock motor

a lot of people don't realize that on a n/a setup the header is one of the most important things to consider. A good header like Hytech, SMSP, DTR, rage, RMF, burns (with a free flowing exhaust of course) will get you the results you are looking for. If you ask me in the grand scheme of things, its worth every penny. Expensive...yes, but worht it....hell ya. Krystyns car is a perfect example. A n/a car like hers will hunt down lots of boosted cars, and thats what you want when spending that kind of money to build a nice n/a setup.
Whats another $1000 when you've already spent $5000-10,000+?

exactly zeeman i dont understand why kids wanna have the best car but never wants to spend the money no offense of course.....but if ur building it for the track or if ur building it to race why not just spend the money right the first time, if your not serious about racing or even making HP for that fact then just get a normal nice header

GO BIG OR GO HOME

There might be gains, but gains vary under different conditions. If you have the money and want to spend it, go ahead. There are always the top notch parts but not everyone can afford. I would say do more research and see if the money is worth it.

Do a search on Honda-Tech.com. I remember reading a lot of good things about Hytech, SMSP etc.

it's not a real hytech header, he said hytech style header.. so I doubt it'd perform like the real thing.. if you're just looking for a header I think it'd be fine.. if you're looking to make serious power then go with the real thing..

endyn is running the hytech header on their 300+hp 10,000rpm n/a b-series. that is evidence enough for me to show it is worth the $. it is the only header i know of with anti-reversion chambers. you can't even buy those if you wanted to make your own.

you see the bulges in the primary to secondary transition, that is the anti-reversion chamber. it prevents the exhaust pulses from going back toward the combustion chamber. the primaries are 1.75" and the secondaries are 1.875". i've looked for them and no one else even makes a header with them... and hytech doesn't sell them, so the only way to get them would be to die form your own, or to buy a hytech header and cut it up.

bikes have been doing "anti reversion" chambers since the early 80's. larry has said he doesnt think they do anything except look cool...

i got plans for a full drag header from burn stainless in 04 and they had no anti reversion chambers...and burns IS the cats *** in the exhaust header market...cost $1300 U.S. for the blue print and material. the collector was the only finished piece, we had to build the rest.
