01 Civic Lx - Damp wet Spots????? Help please

I just discovered 2 patches on the drivers side that are really damp. One is beside ( touching) the hatch/gas door release and the other is in the middle of the carpet. Also, near the top of the carpet on the passengers side to the left is a little damp too. It did not rain, the liquid does not have smell though. Does anyone know what it is?

Is the water coming form under the car? because when i put a floor mat over it, the top of the floor mat was not wet. just the 2 patches on the drivers side and the big patch on the passengers side at the top.

Thanks in advance.

I had water collecting in the trunk of my 02 coupe, replaced the trunk seal and the problem went away.

If your Civic has a sunroof, check the drains to see if they're clogged with debris. The sunroof water could be ingressing down your A-pillars.

Mine does not have a sun roof. I removed the driver side carpet, it was very wet. I noticed that water is coming in from the trunk / fuel release latch. Any ideas why?

I have the same issue in my 01 dx, thought it was condensation. I am interested in a fix as well.

I finally have more time today.
I sprayed water from the outside of the car & someone was inside. Water was noticed to be dripping at the driver's side left rear corner under the dashboard.

Could not figure out how the water enters there. Any ideas?
