Airbags Checking... failed? PLEASE HELP!

Hey guys,

I noticed few weeks ago that when I put my key into the ignigtion and turned it into the last position before I actaully start the car that there was NO beeps / chimes what so ever, just slience. There alway use to be 5 beeps / chimes before I actaully start the car and once I do the beeps goes away. I read some where that those 5 beeps / chimes are checks for the airbags functionality. However the SRS Airbag red light does show for a few seconds on my gauge area like it did before when I have my key at the same position. I drive a 95 Civic Si (Coupe).

Has anyone notice or encouter this problem before? If so does anyone know how to fix this? I'm very concered because I want my airbags to be fully functional. Please help if you can.

Thanks

Chinese Buffet

I would guess the fuse for SRS system, but then why would it blow in the first place.

I agree, you should get Honda to check that out. it'll cost you about $60-$70.

doubt it will be the fuse cuz if it were the srs cel would be lit.
My best guess is something is wrong with the actual beeper.

yeah $85..... my SRS light is on but i'm too poor to get it checked out , not having the beeping is nice, but they said they have no way of knowing without plugging it into the comp.... which is automatically an hour of labour.... i'll get it checked in the summer but for now i'm not driving anyways so.....

i don't think it's the fuse either, i checked those as well....
