it's a cool system with a ton of bells and whistles..... the only thing i don't like about it is the remote.... seems like an older style remote and it's a bit bulky...... but the system comes with everything and is one of the best i've come across...

Tru ting Sedanboy. I've read about this alarm in a previous PASMAG magazine. It is supposed to be among one of the best.

But the question that should be answered first, would be......

What alarm/starter/pager was first in that PAS MAG shoot out?

$165 US + $14.95 S/H = $179.95 US (around $250-$270 CAN)

If they are willing to ship to Canada, I bet the S/H will be more. Also, don't forget the duty and taxes at the boarder when it gets up here, not to mention the cost of installing it......unless you do it.

One more thing, if something goes wrong, and they WILL waranty it for you (probably won't without prove of install by an authorized dealer), how much do you think it will cost to ship it back......not to mention the time you will be left without an alarm in your car?

Yes, the price looks atractive at first, but there are plenty of reasons why I wouldn't buy it.

Most places up here can get you something simular INSTALLED, starting at $450. AND you get a waranty. If something goes wrong, you won't have to wait weeks or months to get it back either.

I got a better idea, I would like to know which alarm/starters they DID test.

Which issue of PAS mag was this test done in?

Viper Responder 790XV

Gee, that looks exactly like the same alarm/starter system.

You starting to slip 94.

By the way, DEI is a BIG advertiser in PAS mag. I find thier coverage of the alarms systems to be bias towards DEI. Take a look in alost EVERY single issue. Theres a write up of a DEI product somewhere in it. I like to use CAr Audio and Electronics, or Auto Sound and Security. They don't blur the line between advertiser and product testing.
