i did my dash pieces myself,
just the hard plastics like the center console and vents and etc
did it 2 times too.. first time i did it red.. but it came out orange.. now its white
its not hard.. just takes a lot of patients and time..
its a DIY
-take out all the pieces, remove parts that dont wanna be painted
-sand off glossy protectant then clean
-prime
-paint + layers
-clear coat layers..
dry for few days

a_baz, are you painting the whole dash or just hard plastic pieces. Are you keeping the car, or does resale value matter to you? Cuz a whole dash colour change is actaully a re-vinyling that is pretty $$$ and should be done by a pro or at least someone with a great deal of skill.

you can also paint ur dash cheaper then getting it revinyled. I'm doing it right now actually, and using a vinyl dye, you can get it at canadian tire for like 6 bucks a can, just make sure u take out ur dash, or tape everything off really good, and clean and sand it before..

i just finished mine the other night and it's back in the car. it worked out awesome. i'm really happy with it.
you just gotta do really thin layers of everything. i did about 6 layers of colour, and 4 layers of clear.
like harper mentioned, too much clear on white will probably turn it yellowish.
definetly try your best to mask off the plastics while you dye the vinyl and visa versa.
