Boomerang 2

Anybody use Boomerang? I'm just bored at work poking around the net and went to their site. It's only $173.40 for a year of service with them. I would have thought it would be a lot more expensive. Might look into it when it comes time for the swap and all the other goodies next year (while still having a regular alarm).

In my opinion it isnt worth it, is somebody really wants it they'll bypass it. The compustar is good enough to deter amateur thiefs.

nope.

Luka, just get a nice pager alarm like a compustar or viper, some creative security measures of your own, etc... If thieves want it they will take it, boomerang or not.

A good thief would come prepared. Thankfully most thieves are idiots. There is nothing really wrong with the Boom imo, its just another deterrent to prevent/protect from the amature theif. I would still want a regular pager alarm as well. I heard that Viper (I think it was them) is developing or has developed a system that uses GPS which you may want to look into also.

I'm not really looking into buying it...

and if i were to get it, I'd still have an alarm as well.

Boomerang have two systems. 1&2. The first one is just the tracking system which tracks your car for $250 when you call them. I got that installed in my car a couple years ago for $300. Its good to have and some insurance companies will give you a discount too. Boomerang 2 is installed the same way as the first one, but it gives you a something to put on your keychain that looks something like the speedpass thing from Shell. If the car is started without the system sensing that thing on your keychain(not sure exactly what its called), boomerang automatically calls the police and tracks the car and calls you to let you that your car has been stolen. Boomerang 2 is a lot better then the first because it tracks your car as soon as its been stolen rather then waiting to find your car when it could have already been stripped by the time you call them to track the car. Its worth money. No one knows its installed in the car either.

We have two systems available that track and find your vehicle using GPS and cellular technology.

We carry the VIPER GPS system and the NEW Autoguard system by Navlynx Technologies. I will be posting a full description of the Autoguard system soon, it is an amazing product which allows you to track your vehicle LIVE, 24 Hours a day on the Internet. We retaill this unit installed for $549.99 plus applicable taxes. Monthly service charges are based upon which monitoring package you choose, with packages starting at $9.99 per month.

Please feel free to give us a call at (647)-435-5896 for more information.

Regards
