Boomerang/Boomerang2??

Is this a GPS tracking system or alarm system? How much does it cost and is there any install fees and other fees?

It uses the bell cell phone network to locate your car. Talk to an authorize dealer or look at the thread in the members section

http://www.boomerangtracking.com/en/...stributors.asp

The boomerang2 uses a transponder that you carry with you. If your car is moved and the transponder (ie. you) is not in the car, head office is notifed and they track/recover your car. Keep in mind there are other fees than the install like recovery fees, monthly monitoring fees, etc...

Well ive been doing research on it myself and have called a couple of places and they average anywhere from 549-599 for the boomerang 2 and i think 350-399 for the boomerang 1 system.

monitoring fees are located on their website so check it out and you must sign on for at least a year and its prepaid so you cant pay monthly for the monitoring service....

I have it on my car. I can get you a better deal than the prices listed in the post above mine.

i signed up for a 1 year contract and you can sign up for 4 years every year i believe the price drops by about a dollar per month.

you are charged a fee of 250 for vehicle recovery.

your monitoring fee cannot be paid monthly! it must be paid as a lump sum!

the unit is placed in different places never the same spot.

if you are car jacked you keep the boom card with you and your id# and you call them and they will begin tracking even if though the "icon" is left in the car.
