Gimme your advice on alarm please
Looking to buy a basic, but reliable alarm that won't act up. Nothing fancy, no pagers, no autostart.
Here's what I'm after for my 98 EK hatch:
Want to monitor doors, hatch, and hood.
Shock sensor ( 1 or 2? )
Starter kill
Keyless entry (need actuators for the door locks)
... and of course, one of those sexy *** blue LED's that move from side to side.
*** considering a proximity sensor (( worth it? ))
Looking for ideas, brand names, prices or installers to consider...please don't just say PM so and so...
Thx

What do you want to spend including install?
You can get something starting at $50 installed, all the way up to $1000+. Give me a rough estimate of what you are willing to spend, and I can help you out. (The $50->$1000 was just an example. )
You can get a half decent name brand alarm for around $150-$200 installed. It won't have alot of bells and whistles, but that is what you get when you want something affordable. Also, the more extra's you get...ie....prox, glass sensor, ect..., the more it will be.
If you want a dual shock sensor, and the cheapie alarm you picked doesn't have the extra inputs to except it, then you can't use a dual zone shock sensor with it. There is a way to still add it to the alarm, but it would involve extra things to make it work. In this case, I would spend a little bit more and get a better alarm that did have the inputs needed to make it work. That is why I would want a list of things you would want done......then I can suggest an alarm that wold fit that list.
Feel free to ask me about any questions that you might have. I'll do my best to help you out.
