HELP: blown sub!

I blew one of my subs because the amp I got is underrated at 921 W total, instead of 800 W. Anyways I got two new subs but one doesn't seem to be working. The amp doesn't seem to be supplying power to it. When you blow a sub by overpowering it, does this blow the amp as well. Is it a quick fix like changing a blown fuse or more complicated ?
