indash motorized dvd vs. custom molded screen

which would you guys get...

my options are either the pioneer dvh-6600
or a 7" screen molded into the jdm audio console below the deck...

i like the custom molding cuz it's different..even though some people have it...but i like the in dash because it's just one unit....

lemme know what you guys think

I would get the pioneer if you have the cash.

Pros: detachable face, requires just a single din (no need for audio console), you can adjust the angle of the screen, can be easily folded in (in case you get pulled over), Stealthy! (when face is detached less attention from theives.

Cons: more expensive, wear and tear of the motorized face.

Just my opinion.

BTW, get the USDM audio console, JDM would not fit correctly on your car.

get the indash fold out unit unless you like giving theives a great reason to break into your car...a nice shiney new screen just sitting there for the taking is too tempting for theives...atleast with the indash fold out it looks like a normal deck and has removable face plate

I like the indash, because it's all in one. Esier to use, and looks "cooler". BUT the advantage of a seperate screen, is you could still have the music playing from the cd player, but have the screen playing a dvd or whatever.

yeah but then if you wanna have the sound from the dvd going through your deck then u won't be able to play a cd...ha ha

Yeah but I'm saying without the sound, I mean just having it on for entertainment purposes lol.

yeah...they had a better deal last month...the avic-n1 navigation was like 1800 (reg. price 2799.99)..and the one i bought was like 1300...oh well

now i know why they have the parking brake wire..ha ha..that's ok i made a custom switch so that if i do get pulled over the screen will have the msg ha ha...
