keyless entry remote not working after battery replacement

hi,

my remote was runninng low on battery, so i took it out and went to buy a new one. the remote was left alone with no battery overnight. i bought a new battery, put it in, and it doesnt open my doors anymore!! i thought it lost its memory? i didnt drop or damage my remote in anyway when i took out the battery.. so i went and followed the instructions to reprogram it, there is no response at all from my car. i followed it exactly. it was on handa-accessories.com

any ideas?

please help!
