Laptop LCD Screen in Car

I have a spare Compaq Laptop LCD screen in house right now and I am just wondering how hard is it to have it connect to my portable VCD player and put them in caar? How do I check if my LCD is compatible with the VCD player??

You would need the pinouts for the lcd ribbon cable.

Might be worth it to buy the female adapter for the ribbon you have and connect from there.

What was the original part number for the notebook that LCD is from?

Look for a field service manual on the compaq/hp site.

its gonna be way cheaper to get a new LCD for your car! since you need to get a controler and tuner for your LCD plus all the wiring to LCD! god knows how long it's gonna take u to do the wiring even if you have all the wire mappings which i don't think that u have!

all together not a good idea!
