I've installed indiglo gauges on my civic and in the night time you dont see the needles. They dont light up.

Manual that came with the gauges says that i should put some Clear Cote Material, does anyone know what that actually is and where can i get it.

??Is that just a normal automotive clear coat??

That's strange.....the needles should light up even a little bit......there are bulbs behind the factory gauges that help do this.....are you sure they aren't blown?

Try to use neon type paint......that will help it glow.......if you're afraid that this might not work, paint a tooth pick with the colour you like.....place it inside the cluster.....see if it glows......if yes, paint the needles with this paint. Pick a colour you like..


The clear coat material they are talking about, is clear coat....you can get it at Crappy Tire. Simple, eh?

 

The needles aren't supposeto glow at night.

This pic shows my previous indiglos. All you'll see is "black" sticks.


Same with my current reverse indiglos.

as you can plainly see, they are glowing.......even before the needles were painted, they still lit up a bit. The needles were white....the indiglow makes the white glow.

I don't know why your's are not "glowing".

I'll take a look at it this week when you come get your stuff.

 

Man....I forgot to fill up.

I just hope I remenber to fill up tomorow before the price goes up.
