OEM Battery problem!
Last week I didn't drive the car for the whole week. I try to start it and the batt dead.
I jumpered it and charged it back up but when i go to check the fluid level it says blue around the inicator with a red dot in the middle is good.
I look at it and I can't see a thing..! I pull it open and I can see fluid in there but i don't know if it is enough or not.
(help) How much fluid is suppost to be there? It looks like 1/4 full.
and it's an OEM batt.

A couple of years ago, my class went on a tour of the GM truck plant in Oshawa and the Delco battery next door. I saw them making batteries with Honda logos on them - they looked exactly like the one that came in my Civic. Have they changed to batteries made by Panasonic? Where can you get these?
btw my original Honda battery is now 8 years old and counting - I can't believe how long its lasted but I want to know what I should be replacing it with. Costco sells Delco batteries but with the posts reversed so I was going to go with a dealer one or maybe spring for an Optima battery but a Panasonic sounds interesting.
Thx
btw to answer the original question, the battery acid should be just covering the plates in the battery

My original was a Panny too, I find the motomaster to be just as good, if not better.

I've had really bad luck with motomaster batteries going bad (sulphating) on my boat. The AC Delco ones from Costco lasted much better. Unfortunately, the batteries Costco had for our cars had the terminals reversed from what we need causing them to have to modify the wiring. I guess a lot of ppl wouldn't care but I think the members of this club would appreciate not have crappy modifications like that just to save $20 on a battery.

I have a Honda battery, now after my OEM battery finally died.
I figure after about 13yrs it was alright for me to buy a new one. I got a Honda one since the OEM one lasted so long. Plus it was also the cheapest one I could find... Weird...
