Optima Yellow Top batteries

hey guys....I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with these batteries?
I have had mine since 2004 and it is now dead....wont hold a charge...so has anyone heard of their warranty? and what it covers?
I have stored it all winter....it has been working no probs so far this year....but it wont hold any charge at this point....just wondering if I can get any type of warranty on it???

any help would be appreciated!

Warranty

In the event of failure, retain your original receipt for proper issuance of credit. Claims without proper identification of purchase date will result in adjustment from the date of manufacture.

To evaluate your battery for warranty, take the battery along with your original receipt to the place of purchase for battery testing. If it isn't possible to take the battery to the original dealer, please contact the OPTIMAŽ Customer Service Center at 888-8OPTIMA (888-867-8462) to assist you in locating a dealer or distributor in your area.

thanks a lot man....and yes they REALLY die....there is nothing left of mine....which is so wierd....as it was doing fine a week ago!!

n/p westender..
same thing happened with the wife's....beauty one day, near flat the next
two days later we threw the oem back in until we were able to swap in another 34

i had 2 die on me recently.

one in my EK hatch, one in my del sol.....a week apart from each other.

yellow tops arnt meant to be used as starting batteries. they are meant to be used as 2ndary batteries for amps, etc.

RED tops are meant to be used as starter batteries.

problem: they dont make a red top that fits a honda! hooray!
