Painting your Ceiling black

Has anyone done this? I have the stock ugly grey vinyl in my 92 hatch DX if i want it black. Do i need to get a specific spray for vinyl or can i just use normal black spray paint? also do i need a primer?? clear coat?

thanks

excuse me sir... I'm confused about the last step in your process. the booyah part of it. are there any special tools needed for this? do you have any pics of you performing this booyah?

i dont know how to remove it, but I don't think that's neccessary for this. I'm just gonna just cover everything with newspaper and tape.

DIY vinyl headliner

You could even do it that way if you wanted.

do not spray it in the car...have you ever tried to write with a pen upside down? that **** dont work and the same goes for a spray can, it will come out blotchy and uneven, it will drip and make one hell of a mess

take it out, it will take some time and patience but its worth it

I didnt take the time to write that up for nothing, might as well make use of it! Just take your time and follow those steps, The first time i did it it took me quite awhile to get it out, cuz all of the clips come out differently and i had no clue what parts to pull out.

second time I did it it took 20 mins, cuz i knew all the parts and how to remove them so follow those steps and it will take you half hour tops!

Like CyniKal said dont be dumb and spray in the car, you will **** your interior.

Why do people always look for the easy way out do a half *** job and it will look like crap, and your interior will be ruined.

Ive always been taught, if your not going to do it right the first time dont do it at all!! Take pride in your work and the time spent you will appretiate it more in the end!

alittle booyah never hurt anyone either

Just to expand on step three.............."the Booyah",
apparently, unbeknownst to lil ole me, the booyah should be performed away from the job, as taking a deep breath leads to fits of coughing rather than the desired BOOYAH.

A guy from my school painted his entire EG on the inside properly, including the headliner. I took a look at it a few days ago.

It's nice and all, but don't you think thats a little TOOO black inside?

I sported the three colour interior for a while too.
Had to get rid of it though.
