i just completed this conversion on my ek, i did it full OEM no cut wires, no jimmy rigging. I had to make my own conversion harneses. It was allot of work, almost not worth the work involved to do a true OEM conversion like i did.

None the less, it was too big of a job to do a DIY writeup so if you have any questions just post here... maybe if im uber board ill do a writeup someday, i have pics of most of it, but its very involved even if you dont want to gut your whole car and want to spend hours on wire diagrams and cut and splice and custom wire instead which i dont reccomend.. eaither way your into headaches.... I know it works tho and i can explain any 6th gen conversion, 5th geners your on your own for the minor details.... im sure i can fill in the rest tho, same basic idea.. I did this on my own with no instructions at all, so anything is possible.

BTW that writeup is for a 4th gen i think, 5th gen and up requires pretty much the whole door and panle... its a waste of time and mony soucreing out bits and peices, its easier to just swap the whole door...and much cheaper

You're welcome fellows

Boosty, the writeup is for a 5th gen, same interior as mine.

It is definitely a lot of work, much more than I thought it would be - turned me off on that one, not worth the hassle

doors with everything inside and out, interior floor wire harness, power window relay, and lots of patience and time

if you want to do it right you have to gut your car

I did a little research and I'm certainly not ready to tackle that yet.

I'm in the process of doing this swap right now on my 6th gen , I realized I didn't have a power door lock control unit and had to order one of those and I'm missing some under the hood fuses , a 40a and 30a for the power options. Anyways the wiring is kind of a nightmare , I see some you have to wire through the firewall to the box under the hood then back over to the under dash box and so forth. Looking at wiring diagram gives me a headache. So for all the people that did it already , any tips or useful things you can share that I should be aware of?
