push button start

Anyone have a push button start installed? I like the look of them but how do they work on a manual tranny? I guess that key still has to in the on position for it to work? is it just for show is does it actually work?

my buddy put one in his 4th gen... the key still has to be turned to work but if you had lots of confidence in your alarm you could probably wire it to not need the key

I've got one, but I dind't install it. I works great, but the keys do need to be in the on position. I love it, it feels so tech to start my car with a button. The only problem I find is when the engine is already started and someone goes |"hey what does this button do" and pushes it. It doesn't sound too pretty.

Go to honda and ask them for the s2000 push start button.
Or you can buy an ignited push start button
all depends on wat style u like

the s2000 says START on it
the ignited says ignited.

honda wants about 100 bucks i think i dunno.

I've seen them for sale in the pickering Flea Market, and at a small booth inside the main enterance of the Pickering Town Centre. Not sure of the brand name or the quality, but I don't imagine they could screw up something so simple that badly.

button

The honda S2000 one for 100 comes with the entire housing and wiring pins. You'll have to solder it probably. Does anyone know how much the red ignited one is?

The thing is it comes as one piece, like a wiring hardness for a deck. You would have to wire it in just like any other push button but then solder those wires into the OEM hardness. I have a tutorial on how to do it but I can't find it right now. I have the regular push button ignition right now but I want to change it to the S2000.
