Racing seat vs stock seat

I feel I need to seat up a little more straight while I drive, so my neck and back wouldn't hurt so much.

But I can't with stock seat. If I put up the seat to a good position, my head would be literally touching the roof, and I can't drive like that. If inclined a little bit back, then my neck is not resting on the head rest, which creates tention around neck area.

I have been thinking about making the seating area lower, or get a racing seat or whatever so my back can sit up straight.

If any EK owners out there that has a racing seat installed (with slider, cause I might not be the only person driving the car), how much headroom do you gain usually? Are racing seats in general lower then stock seats even with slider installed?

Thanks

Personally I would look at some of the better crafted OEM honda seats.

Del Sol seats..

GSR with lumbar adjustment

CRX seats..

Designed by Recaro incase you didn't know

Most people I know tire of the racing seat look fast.

Also in egress and ingress are abit tricky with some models.

Most racing seats DO NOT sell with rails.

I have del sol seats and they are very comfy.

AVG 150- 200 KM daily...

Not per se... way better driving position, but poor lower back support. If you got racing seats, you'll never again be tempted to drive with one hand on the wheel at the 12 o'clock position like some ***...it's really makes you shape up, sit right, and get in a good driving position. You'll always be alert and aware, which is the safest way to drive both on the streets and at the track.

Bbarb, we are the same height then.

Sparco Sprint, they are like what, 280? How much does the sliders cost, about 100?

Does your lower back hurts after a long drive? Cause I really want to sit up straight.

As for other type of Honda seats, I think I can try a GSR from a friend, forgot how Del Sol feels like and I need to see a CRX one.

Ya, I had a lower back injury... those can be a bitch. I'm just cautious about my posture... maybe I'll get one of those Spoon pillows for lower back support They are way more than $280 I think... $4-5 bills apiece. I got mine last year in the summer. Made my own adapters for the stock rails.

Is yours a bucket seat with no incline?

U sure it was a Sparco Sprint?? Or some off-brand? Sparco is FIA approved.

Yes, fixed 72 degree seat...

hehe, diesel you ricer I wish the Spoon pillow came in like black, not just blue. Most seats don't usually come in sizes, but Sprints do come in Sprint and Sprint Junior.

Let us NOT spoon each other plz LOL haha...

Bride seats are overpriced... they are nice and all, but overpriced. Sparco and Corbeau make the best seats for the money. Even Recaro is a bit overpriced, and MOMO is just ricockulous for what you get. Sparco is my choice 100% of the time, but for a budget racer, Corbeau Forza is a great deal at $220 USD.
