Hey guys,

I want to install a new rear view mirror in my civic that has a tempature/compass display.

i've been looking at a few but im not sure as to how id wire it up? do these things have the temp/comp sensors in the mirror so that all i have to do is wire some power to it?? or is it more complicated then that?

Well by the look of that wireing harness in the back I would say its more complecated than that... looks like there is about 6 wires comming out of it so it definitly more the + and - hook up.

If you know what car those are from check out the repair manuel.

its from an 03 saturn ion... i read that one of the wires runs to something that measures the temp and its in the front bumper of that car... so this is a bit more complex then i thought... im gonna do a bit more research, possibly take a peak in a haynes manuel and see whats going on...

if it turns out to be more work then its worth i might just scrap the idea but i would really like to get this working....

if anyone has any input on this just let me hear it... anything will help at this point

yea, there are sensors needed its not just the mirror itself

Doesn't Bruno have a temp/direction mirror from a pilot in his ride?

haha no I have a self dimming mirror from an MDX, not a compass/temp mirror. but I can still help. these are the instructions and some of the wiring etc.... read through it, it should clear up some things.
