since school has been out i've had alot more free time so i got down to work on my car and got a few things done...

side markers:

i found a sicky website that has a template and everything... all i did was print the template out and cut out the whole on the template... thentaped it to my car. I measured to make sure that both templates would make both sides the same... then i colored threw the cut out hole on my template so that when i peeled it off it was black on my fender ... the black is what i had to cut out.. so i got cracking with the dremel and after some minor cuttin and adjusting and got the sidemarkers to fit... then i just wired them up as shown on the website and i was good to go.. man it felt good.


Trunk light:

might not seem like much to some of you but i don't have a trunk light in my dx and it was always a pain... where the light is supose to be there was a plate... so i pulled that off... but a light in that i bought for 20 bucks and worked on the wiring for about an hour.... i didn't know how to hook it up so that when i opened the trunk it would turn on but i fiqured it out eventualy... im not really good with wiring so this was a misson for me but well worth it in the end....I CAN SEE


Halo switch:

i went to Canadian tire looking for parts to wire up a switch to my halos and i find a kit that has all that stuff already. It had all the wires, switchs, relays and what nots needed. It was also set up so that i could hook up the switch so that when i flicked the light switch onces i would only then be able to turn the halos on and off.... this for me is a safty so that my halos can't be turned on when all other lights are off..... this is good especialy during the day when you wouldn't even notice the halos burning away........

not only did i hook this up but i fiqured out how to make it work with an oem rear defogger swtich... all i have to do is make a new face for it so it doesn't look like i have two defogger switches....it looks pretty sweet though... way better then the nasty ct switch i had and now it looks stock which is what i wanted..



well those are the new mods to my car so far... nothing big but its been keeping me busy and entertained.....i don't know much about cars yet but I enjoy working on mine and i know the only way i will learn is by doing things myself.

Those DIY mods sound pretty sweet. Post up some pics of the final results when you get a chance.

 

for sure.... im actualy gonna give my car a nice wash tomorrow and take some pics before i take it to get tinted so i have some before and after tint pics but i'll try and get some pics up of the mods soon... they are minor mods but make a world of a difference

 

what source did you use for constant power to the trunk light?
