pretty strait forward. you need a small flat head and you got to remove the plastic trim on pilars that tough the roof liner. take down things like the sunvisors, map lights etc. possibly you'll need to remove the rubber trim around the doors. the roof liner should be held up by plastic clips.

i did my entire headliner in a black leather material. I even did the holly **** handles, sunvisors and resprayed any plastic pieces to a matching black. The only way to make it look good is to make it ALL black or atleast all match.. otherwise it just looks stupid...

heres a photo... you can see how the black brings it all together.. i even painted the grey pieceon the dash black along with btns, climate control and anything else that was that ugly grey color.

i do suggest black... or anything matching to whatever color your interior is.. otherwise it just looks cheap.

the seats are integra type r seats...

there's alot of custom work in that car... i can list most that you see there...

1. stock *** with red lettering... i just used a brush.. filled it with paint and cleaned off access... still holding so its good..

2. painted the pillers black... used krylon fusion paint.. great for plasitic

3. headliner. overlayed existing with black pleather.

4. sunvisers. traced old one onto same pleather as above and using comman sense and some feminine side.. lol.. i pulled out the sewing machine and there they are...

5. holly**** handles... sewed by hand with same material as above.

6. reverse hazard btn...

7. all black dash.. the main plasitic piece i removed and painted black with the krylon fusion paint... the climate control i removed and painted all plastic pieces with the same paint. i made sure to print out little stickers the same size as the light holes on the btns.. i put it over the wholes before paint and then after paint carefully pealed them off so that the light still shines through...

now as for the sticker part of the btns or the part of the climate control that shows the symbols i bascially re drew it all to size in illustrator and printed it out on transperency film.. but it didn't come out dark enogh the first time so i let it dry and ran it throught the printer again.. you have to be carefully and make sure its perfectly aligned both times or else it wont work... then behind it i layed a piece of paper amber colored so that when the light shines through it would be amber to match the climate control... you could use bulbs too but i was lazy... anyways thats pretty much it..

8. also the cloth part of the door is rewraped in a suede material to match the seats.

everything i did took a few trial and error sessions.. i tested alot of it before i went ahead and did the final... it was worth it though..

other then those things the rest are just oem parts,

recaro type r seats
type r steering wheel
black vti cluster (red needles, amber lighting)
eg6 center console
eg6 armrest
type r shift **** boot.

with the intire interior of the car i went with the type r red and black theme... to me modding a car isn't about just making the car different.. its about making the car look as best as it could while have the feel of a stock car... this is what i think the eg would have looked like if ever there was a type r eg..

really if i had the money i would do an engine swap, full disc brake, paint the car a darker richer red, get an hid kit on those projectors, to complete the outside, then to complete the inside i would get a bmw rear few mirror with compass, climate and aux btns in amber, get the eg6 power mirrors and custom the btns with bmw amber lite btns and then get a gps/cd to fill the two slots on my center console. Then get some seat warmers and id be good...

that would be my dream as to what this car would be fully stocked... but thats alot of money.. the car would be damn sweet but too much money... tell you the truth im getting rid of it in a year or so... most likly going to just part it out instead of converting it back to stock to sell it... so keep your eyes open as these parts will be for sale in about 1-2 years.. lol

Here are some more images of the interior as requested...

for the sake of this thread you can see the headliner, sunvisor and holly **** handles in one of the images which like i said before i think will only look good of you match to the current color of the interior of your car........

also to expand that theory and because it was requested there are more image of the interior showing other parts of the car that have been modified to carry on the black interior of the stock car..

enjoy...

i just picked up a krylon paint ... but i was stuck between the satin black or the regular black .... so i picked satin ... i still need to try it, but is the satin the right one for painting buttons on the dash?
