Removing Stock Seat "Brackets"

I want to remove the "stock curved parts/mounting parts" on the seat brackets that are on the stock sliders of some GSR seats, so that the sliders are just "flat". How do i go about doing this? I want to put the seats in a different car, so i need these things removed so that i can mount them on my new brackets.

Thanks

cut and weld

one side of the slider rail is an integral part of the reclining mechanism. you can't just unbolt it

As long as you don't plan on using the sliders as sliders but simply as mounting brackets then you can use a ford tool (hammer) and a hack saw to disassemble the sliders and weld them to the sliders on the new seats.....

I do want to use the sliders, i just want to remove the stock part that bolts to the floor. It appears to be held on by 2 round style "rivets".

I have a pic of what i want i need to remove. It is the part on the left side of the picture, the part that is flat and then curves. You can see the 2 round bits holding it in place. Thanks

I guess that would be the only way to do it without screwing up the sliders?

I am installing the seats and sliders into a NON acura, therefore i don't need those mounting points. I already have custom brackets made for these seats & sliders to fit on.......those fittings are just in the way!

I thought you were trying to do something else.

From what I remember it's not just 2 rivets.... there are also some tack welds..... this can be done no problem. But don't try to drill them out. You'll be there forever and use a couple doqen bits. I found the best way is to grind off the rivets flush, cut any visible welds with a cut off tool or grinder then hammer off the bracket.

Yeah, that's what i was thinking of doing. A grinder would probably be the best thing to use. There are also a couple of small tack welds also, but i think a dremel should do the trick! Hopefully this will work. Thanks man!
