Seat Brackets...

i've been looking for some seat brackets for a buddy of mine... i've got quotes from a few people on here wanting like $100 a seat... which considering how little work it is i think is to high... on ebay i've seen them go for like $40 US for two seats...

is there anything in the middle here? like if i had a welder at my house it would be like an hour tops of actual work...

just wondering if anybody has hook ups on getting some made... the point of this thread is that i'm not looking to spend $200 or anywhere near there for two seats

Seats

I have a couple of stock seats from a 2 dr... the driver is a bit bent from the previous owner, but the passenger is fine.

The seats are from 92' - 95

I'm not sure if this is what you were asking for...

i'm assuming you're asking about having brackets made up.
depending on the car they are going in, the time needed to ensure everything is square and fits properly takes a lot longer than anyone expects.
i've witnessed installs of up to 3hours per a seat in order to get everything matched up properly. for example, in the 7th gens, i know they are a pain to get proper because all the brackets and not lined up and angled oddly.
as for price, all the places i've heard from quoted around 100 per seat.
good luck

they are for those apc seats that autowarehouse was selling a while ago... and going into a crx....

i've thought about just taking his stock seat rails and cutting them into a universal design then renting a welder for a week to patch it all up... i just find it hard to spend $200 on something that easy... i know lining it all up might be tricky but thats what cardboard cut outs are for

if it's for a crx and if i'm not wrong, i think you can just unbolt the stock slider and rails.
if that's the case, it's much easier, just a matter of bolting/welding it onto the new ones.
the APC's have a smaller base if i'm not wrong, but it shouldn't be by much, so you could probably tack the stock rails onto it no problem.
and i must agree, i think paying 200 bucks for the install is a bit steep.
good luck

the way i look at it is i could rent a welder for a weekend and put all that together...

not sure if they have a smaller base or not cause i've really never looked into it... but it is all real easy... just a matter of finding somebody or someplace to rent/borrow one from
