So whats the difference between alarms?
Yesterday morning my civic gets broken into and they completely mess up my dash and climate controls all for a sony xplod deck. I had a pedal lock on the car so it couldn't be put in gear but this is bulls**t.
I need an alarm system and just not sure which to get; I'm looking at grabbing one from a friend however it's one that makes noise only. It's not a viper or anything of the sort however I am just not sure what the benefits or the differences in any alarm system are..... don't they all make noise?
thanks for your help
- John
PS if someone tries to sell you an xplod deck model CDXGT200 serial number 6512755 it was stollen and that guy deserves to get messed up. Why do I have to work for the money to buy a new deck and spend the time to replace my dash because they decided to f**k off and take mine?
Mess them up good.

Hi John,
Sorry to hear about that. I truly hope that the people resonsible get caught.
First there are major differences between good and bad alarms.
It is true most alarms do the same out come.
Protect your doors, hood Trunk , Windows and so on. Some of the cheaper alarms do not have all those features such as trunk and hood protection. You want all those sensons with an alarm
Also Big brand name alarms such as Compustar & Viper offer lifetime warranty on there units and they are RELIABLE where a cheaper alarm may have some BS warranty.
Get something that will last you a very long time with no worries at all. Cheap alarms will give you nothing but headaches and will actually cost you more money in the long run.
Also nowadays it is worth going with a 2 Way alarm not a one way alarm. People do not car if a alarm is going off and a 2 way alarm with actually notify you if someone is breaking in. A One way will not.
Compustar , Viper , AutoStart are great choices for alarms.
If you have any questions or need some advice please do not hesaited to contact us.
We can certainly assist you in finding the right alarm
Thanks for your time
