those stripped screw bits that you use to get out stripped screws...

i think they are like $30 for 3 different sized bits @ sears

was it one of the interior trim screws? what did you strip? the star in the head where you put the screwdriver, or the threads?

if you stripped the head, just drill the head out. just dont press to hard because if it starts to spin, it will make your life more difficult.

if you stripped the threads, then try to pry the panel off from underneath while you untighten the screw.

btw, those screw/bolt extractors from sears and ct are crap, perhaps they will work for a few screws, but they themselves strip very very fast

I used a dremel tool and ground the head into kind of a square so I could fit a socket on it.

use a square then hit it with a hammer and use a ratchet and put all your body weight on the ratchet it will come out

best thing is a drill.......with a quality bit.......I tried those screw out remover things things, and unless its a really easy screw to get out (might work for your interior) they wouldn't work (was trying to use them on some rusted bumper screws)...........screw bob villa.....drill is still king...

That is the best thing to do. If that doesnt work, then the drill is your friend.

it's probably better to put a small bolt
then a screw it will be easier to come out next time

if you have a dremel tool shape the screw head to a desired shape and remove it...i cut a line in the head then use a flat head to remove it...try to use a tool that will allow you to apply more torque...maybe a ratchet with a screw driver attachment or even a grip wrench attached to a screwdriver
but ya a drill will work too...but then you gotta go get another screw (and i find drilling it out takes longer)
