twisted seatbelt

The rear-driver seatbelt in my 98 Civic sedan seems to be twisted and I am not sure who to fix it.. It looks like it was installed incorrectly from the factory. What I mean is that when I sit in the back seat and fasten the seatbelt, the belt is twisted and does not sit across my chest the correct way.

I have tried to reverse the way the belt sits by reversing it through the metal clip thingy however it is too tight a slot for me to successfully do it.

I am thinking of lifting the bottom rear seat and unscrewing the belt from where it attaches to the body of the car and reversing it..

Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it...the seatbelt works fine however this is annoying me!
Thanks,

Has the car been in an accident before? That's usually a clue that it has been. The bodyshop guys sometimes puts it back on backwards....ie flipped.
