want to know how to remove airbags for painting

Question want to know how to remove airbags for painting

i want to paint the piece in the middle of the steering wheel and the passenger side airbag white. How do i take it out?

92-95 civics are EG (chassis code), i think the coupes are EJ?

I beleive that once you remove the plastic pieces around the steering column then there are screws that hold the airbag in from the back. Make sure you remove the fuse for the airbag and disconnect the battery before you do anything.

i heard you have to leave the battery unhooked for a certain ammount of time before doing airbag ****. ie min 15 mins or something

Just do a search on manuals and download the applicable one for your car..

It will tell you EXACTLY what to do.

I say bad idea but its about what you like..

EJ's are 96-00 honda civic's (usdm chassy codes)

oh yea for the topic in hand do not REMOVE ur airbags.
get them professionally removed it is HIGHLY ILLEGAL especially if u dont know wat to do.

i painted a bunch of crap white in my car now im looking to go back black...white to me is just saying "look at me !!!! look at me!!!!"
i dont wanna be catchin peeple lookin at the interior of my car.ive been known to over react when it comes to my car
