WASTE OF $15 DOLLARS!!!! Help me pick HU :-)

Wassup...I went to the car show at the internation center today...man...thats a waste of $15 dollars...I HAD TO go cause Ive NEVER been to one b4...but now i know...ah well. I checked out that Art of Audio Sale too...the prices arent THAT low...anyways...I couldnt decide on a Head Unit...SO MANY. I thought Id better come back home and check with you guys what HU to get...the ones i like were Alpine and Pioneer and Sony...all within my price range of $200-250. For that money..what is the best HU to get?

Any of those brands are good and probably in that range all have the same features. It is really which one you like the look of the best.

go to places like future shop and listen to the decks, I personally would not go with the sony because i dont like the way they sound at louder volumes, distortion. go with an alpine or pioneer

I've got the M620 Sony xplode BAP and i've only got good things to say about it. of course I bought it for $600 and maybe the lower end xplodes are different but I have no distortion a high volume, or very minimal.

the only differance between the Pioneer and Sony is $100

each level you go up add $100 to the pioneer

I have the explod 5050 and nothing realy bad to say about it other then it does get tinny at higher levels

for the money this is a nice entry level Hu

also a nice entry level HU

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/Pi...25,516,00.html

if you're gonna spend 330 bucks on a low end one, why not spend the same amount and get the one i'm selling?
the premier deh-p720?
the deck has way more features than the alpine one u wanna get, plus it looks a lot better too... haha
and the sound is great

I don't recommend Sony, they aren't as good as they used to be. You want quality, go with Pioneer or Alpine. Sony has looks, Pioneer/Alpine have the ballz.

Good choice. Most of my friends have had problems with sony decks. A local audio shop stopped selling sony decks cause of all the problems they were getting from customers. I dunno.

I just got myself a Clarion system... HU, amp, subs. Now I need a decent set of speakers....

take it from someone who deals with this for a living.. the new sony decks are GARBAGE!!! it's rediculous the amount of defects and issues I have to deal with because of their cheapness... I dont know.. but IMHO they should stick to TV's and get out of car audio.. leave it to the guys that've been doing it for years. (Pioneer, alpine, kewood, clarion, etc)

And don't forget Panasonic. I have had two now, both have been excellent! No skipping at all, and has all the features you want!
