What Kinda AMp Kit?

Ok Guys this is wat i have:

-2000 watt mono amp,
-1200 watt 4 channel amp
-2 1000Wat 12s
- 2 1000 wat 6.5 in front (500 peak each)
-2 2000 watt 6x9 in back (1000 peak each)
-2 HIgh powered tweeters in the front

All these are not installed yet, Im still waiting on the capacitor 2 farad.
Now my q is?

What kind of wiring kit should i get?
Also should i get a high output alternator and better battery?
How much would a shop charge to install these?

I have some knowledge on installation cause i used to to it to my other cars but i've never installed this many things

Personally I think with those amps you should be able to use a 'true' 4GA wiring kit and not a CCA one ie. streetwires, stinger, kicker, etc. With those amps I don't see a need to upgrade to a high out alt however it will never hurt.

I would upgrade your wiring under the hood which is called the Big 3 to run with your existing wire

Battery to ground
Alt positive (inline fuse this one) to Battery positive
Engine to body ground
Plus upgrade your battery terminals from the crappy oem honda ones. You don't need to get fancy stinger ones. $5 cheapish from NAPA will do.

The HU can run off the existing harness in the dash, you'll just have to get a conversion harness which around $10 to $15 .

Any chance your main amp for your components have a built in crossover or your sub amp? You didn't give a model # so I can't check it out.

Hi,

\This amp has a build in low pass coverover so you'll be set. Just use the RCA out on this amp to the RCA IN on your sub amp, set your low pass and you'll be good.

The remote wire yes, the main power wires I wouldn't. Just get a cheap 2 or 3 position fused block. You might want to check out www.diymobileaudio.com for some great deals on good wire and other small stuff you need.

HI,

There should be a spot for it marked remote or similiar. You run the blue wire from your deck to one of your amps, and run another piece of wire from the one amp remote on/off to the other amp remote on/off.

Another good site to check out for some good info and pictures

I went with a kicker 0 guage kit. But I am running a bigger system and I like to overkill with my mods...Anyways I guess in answer to your question a true 4 gauge kit or 2 gauge if you wanna overkill will be fine. The battery and alternator you can upgrade later or now if you have the cash. You can do all of these installs yourself a with the help of a good friend, and a case of beer.

where did you get the power wire from and who makes it?

ebay is your friend for power wire IMO. There's always people selling off old wire ie. 4ga when they upgrade to 0/1. etc
