dyno/racing vids of my recently S/C'd B18C5 eg
For those who dont know the build:
B18C5 jackson racing supercharged, M/I, 6psi, 440cc, 11:1, intake, header, stage 3 clutch, plus the rest here if you want to read more heres my car info thread from last year.
http://torontointegras.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=32761
I ended up with 227whp 155tq. at the 6psi tuned with Neptune. this is a gain of 47 whp, 24 tq from when i was N/A with a skunk 2 IM.
this was at Tag Racecraft, Tuned by Zman. He did a great job tuning the car as well as preparing the car for tuning (a couple small problems postponed our dyno session a couple hours).
I would definitely recommend Zman for tuning, and i would also like to thank Mel and his employees at Tag Racecraft for letting me use their dyno/shop and for lending a hand here and there.
Redlines moved up to 9000 rpm, vtec engagement now at 4000 rpm. No signs of detonation whatsoever even with my 11:1 compression. I was using just water for the injection, and on average it dropped IAT temps about 20-25 deg. F, usually not going over 150 at the top of a dyno pull.
I got one run in at the 1/4 mile and ran a 13.4 @105, compared to 14.09 @97.9 before the supercharger (180whp, 131tq). I still need to dial in my launch. Im looking into getting ETD traction bars to solve my wheel hop issue. The car has much more midrange torque. No more need to down**** for power anymore.
On the dyno With the JRSC (4th gear):

civic vs viper (spun the tires a bit and slowed me down):

11 psi and maybe a cam as well as a new tune planned for next spring.

You make it sound like its some POS now.
I turned it into a full out s/c'd track car.
Its no longer some ricer on the street looking to drop the clutch at every other green light.
Now its a full out track car that people envy when i blow by them outta the turns.
On the other hand maybe ur right, i should have stored it away in a garage all year round so it could be mint like it was back in the day .
whats the point of having such a capable car like this and just drive around the street. drive it like it deserves it to be driven. AT THE TRACK!
sorry about the rant, but show some respect.

I think what cynikal is saying was that car was MINTY fresh back in the day.
The owner who built that one lived down the street from me and damn that car looked straight showroom fresh i think thats all he was saying

i dont think people are gonna notice the dents on the fenders when im blowin by them at the track
I'd rather spend money on performance, rather than show car quality.
Ive got a DD mazda protege 5 that is made to look good
The civic is made to go fast.
The dents on the fender are due to the way my dolley is designed. I realized that if i turn sharp enough, the part of the dolley where the wheels sit on hit my fender and ****. Not much i can do there except not turn as sharp, but in some cases it just doesnt work out that way unfortunately...
btw what is it that makes u think its not nice anymore?
could it be the JRSC?
or the fact that its a better performing car than yours
If all you wanna do is post negative comments, do it in somebody elses thread please.

If you look at my threads you'll see me posting events such as drag racing this friday night, as well as wosca auto-x.
I also attend Dunnville lapping events and the civic does really well. Mosport and Shannonville are a bit far. This is my first year getting into the lapping events, but like my 4th doing autox, and i plan on getting more involved with various racing events. As long as i can afford it.
A typical Dunnville lapping day costs me quite a bit
gas there and back towing the civic behind my protege 5: ~$80
94 octane + booster for a 4 or 7 hour lapping session: $30-40
Paying for the event( 4 or 7 hrs): $75-100
Methanol+distilled water: $10-15
Other stuff like food, drinks etc. from when i leave to when i get back (like 13 hrs) : $20-25
all in all its over $200 easy, plus wear and tear on tires and brakes etc. and they pooch quick!
O ya and how could i forget,
Peacin subaru STIs left and right: PRICELESS!
