Lincoln Park Zoo Chicago
While in chicago last week, i had the opportunity to snap a few pictures at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Comments welcome....enjoy

^^ i do get this soft focus with the 70-300 sometimes (though rarely) but most often...it delivers alright. i can see the first pic of the zoo entrance and the giraffe one is a bit soft. the rest are good imo.
inside the lion enclosure, i was hardly getting 1/50 at 800-1600 ISO while i was shooting at the long end..lol. maybe i need f4 tele glass in the near future :-)

well I think I can tell you whats happening...you arent paying attention to you focusing points or you are using a setting that just meters the whole area opposed to a specific spot....as you can see in the first one the branches are nice and sharp and the zoo sign is out of focus...same with the girafe one...the tree branches behind are crisp while the giraffe isnt...maybe something to look at and pay a little more attention to
