Auto To Manual Swap

Hi, im looking for someone willing to do an auto to manual swap. Its an 98 ek hatch with d16y7, neededing to swap so i can boost after. Anyone know anyone? or and good shops with decent price? thanks

PAIN IN THE ***. good luck finding someone and getting it to feel right. any good shop i know runs from those conversions.

totally not worth the time and hassel. but if you are persistent about it, bring it to a reputable shop that have experience in these swaps

The swap isn't THAT hard. Some things can be a bit tight to reach, and you will need to cut out your windage plate to make room for the manual shift linkage. Balljoint removal and installation can be a pain too.

If you can do it yourself, then you can save a substantial amount of money, and even make the swap worthwhile. But if you are going to pay to have it done, its not worth it at all. You are looking at $1000-1500 at most places. It would be easier to sell your car and buy stick to start with, unfortunately.

^^ true

but, back like 6yrs ago, i did a b16 swap to my 95 cx hatch. did 5spd conversion at the time. was so worth it.

cost me a bit more at the time.... but, 2join is probally right - depending on your car.

So you guys know any shop that would do it under 1300 ? I saw some guy who said he had it done for 1200. I need it done for my 2000 civic, so anyone who knows a good shop please link thanks.
