loose shifter kind of feel? del sol

hey guys just wondering which bushings are to be replaced im also going to drop in a short shifter if someone can point me in the right direction into which bushing i should replace also id appreciate it thanks

they are called shifter bushings... Energy suspension makes polyurethane ones i believe.



#14 and 16 i think

thats what i thought also and i kno there called shifter bushings just making sure. Anyone else know for sure I think doesnt really cut it for me since i think its # 14 and 16 also

thanks brother! im guessing you understand the loose shifter feel im talking about lol. Even when i put it in gear it still flops sideways like it would in neutrel are there any other bushings besides the 2? thanks!

ha ah ha.. ya.. loose shifters suck..

the kit above comes with 4 different bushings I think.

ebay....got them for $14 shipped, the Energy Suspension bushing kit....there is 3 or 4 bushings in the package.

I suggest that while you have it all apart, have your bushings in the shifter (#5 in the above picture) changed from the rubber type to spherical bearing type.

bushings are usually the cause of a slush box but the tranny can be the culprit also. if the bushings don't fix it then you know it's in the transmission.

I will be installing a short shifter also so the #5 bushing will be replaced neways. Ive never heard of a tranny being the cause of a loose shifter but if you say so ill keep it in mind.

Anybody else have any pointers into switching bushings and adding short shifters any problems in the past you guys experienced?

so sir wasnt throw out was bushings! but god damn its 2 tight now HAHA! im gonna take apart the shifter lube it up more see if that helps!

ok i just installed the ES bushings the shift stabilizer bushings .. i feel a differnence in the shifting but the shifter still flops side to side when im in gear... im gonna use the shifter rebuild kit tomorrow and see if it works... anything else i can do ?

just grab a short shifter! its alot easier just lube the ball on the shifter DONT USE THE BUSHING LUBE like my good friend did on mine lol or youll be taking it apart and relubing it lol
