Obx Lsd

Just got my 2nd one. 1st one was missing a chunk of metal out of the main wheel, we blamed UPS, little did I know that it wasn't UPS' fault. Either way they refunded the money and I bought another one.

This one looked ok from the outside, minus the hairline crack where the gear housings bolt together and the huge metal shards I could see when looking into the LSD.

So being the Do it yourselfer I am, I took it apart. All the edges sported a nice raw machined finish with cute little metal burrs all over. So on I went with the power of the dremel. I had to dremel down every edge to try and smooth it out. I spent 3 hours on it until I was happy enough to put it back together. I'm still iffy and I would still like to do a lot more but I don't have the tools to do so. Not only were all the edges raw and jagged but the metal was also pitted in a few spots.

This brought me to the conclusion of UPS didn't wreck my first LSD, no matter how much I do hate UPS. It's just a POS. Please save up and buy a Quaife LSD if you do decide to buy one.

I have pictures of the whole mess if anyones curious as to what I mean reply and I'll put them up

Dude its an OBX, so it's not TOTALLY unexpected is it now?

They work well, despite the OBX name. Lots of guys in the turbo d16 crowd run 300-400 hp through them. Enjoy it bro!
